7/4/2014 the so called contractor started to renovate the house. He is actually a Bangladeshi, recommended by the former house owner, saying that he is really good in renovating. The things is, he didnt come out with any quotation of the price on the things he needs to buy for the renovation. He mentioned the price based on his experience. Risky? Yup! That is why I don't let him doing the kitchen and we went to get some professionals to do it. Today is the third week since he started the renovation. Results so far? Alhamdulillah, my husband and I we both satisfied with the work. Nice and neat painting work. We did ask the renovation should include:

1. Paint in and out

2. Porch tiles

3. Balcony tiles

4. backyard - cement

5. Front gate repair

6. Back door repair

7. Installing 3 toilet bowls

8. Repair sliding door

9. All doors lock

10. Pipe system repair

I can say almost 60% are done now. Tiles in progress, all painting work are done. I'm in love with the color we chose for our son's playroom:) But not so for the next door room. We chose yellow and it turns out too bright! supposedly we want the kitchen to be painted with Sweet Yellow Nippon Paint color but I immediately cancelled it and stay with white wall instead. I can't wait for the kitchen to be done! Once we finish we the renovation work, we will start with the kitchen.

The kitchen: I asked the contractor to ripped off the old tiles on the wall. Plaster like the upper wall and thinking to paint the wall later.

Left : the new painted front house, we chose Grey. tiles for the porch is in progress now.
